My thought process on seeing the advert 'Make Yourself 3D'

  1. Ooh. That sounds somehow intriguing. I wonder what it means.
  2. Ah. It turns out it means 'Turn yourself 3D by making a character that looks and dresses like you. It's fun and free.' That no longer sounds intriguing, because I am not a nine year old girl. Besides, if I wanted to make a character that looks and dresses like me, I would simply have a child.
  3. Hang on though. Surely if you make a character that's rendered on a flat computer screen, that's turning yourself 2D?
  4. Hang on more... I'm already 3D! I don't need to make myself 3D - three is precisely the number of dimensions in which I currently exist!
  5. I don't think it should have taken me four steps to realise that.
  6. Oh look. A pigeon.

Hey, Stu.
How'd you do?

There's more than one Stuart?? Disgusting!

Sorry missed your Radio 4 pilot, John (tickets sold out damn fast), but the preview in the Albany was great! Well done!

Yes Stu ... there's a lot of us about. More than is healthy I feel ...

Actually (and I claim to be the first to notice this) there appear to a lot of wannabe/up-and-coming-maybe comedy writers with the first name 'Stuart' according to the additional material credits in BBC open-sub shows like 'Play and Record' and 'Tilt'. Something like one in fifteen names are 'Stuart etc' for some, I'm sure, very logical but still deep reason.

Yes, how sad I am for noticing- but it's very much true.

Well, Stu, I should just point out that I no longer live in the UK so such illustrious rolling credits are beyond my, err, 'transmission capabilities'!

However, it's good to know that the House of Stuart (or Stewart) is being well represented. I think we should lobby John to become 'Stuart Finnemore', though I doubt he'll leap at the chance.

The very first member of the House of Stuart (Stewart) was Flaald I (Flaald the Seneschal), an 11th century Breton ... and not a lot of people know that.

Crash of cymbals, exit stage left.

Could you not do that to the cymbals please.

That's just what the insurance company said ... sorry.

I must reluctantly decline your kind invitation to be Stuart Finnemore. I am, however, prepared to consider becoming Flaald Finnemore. (Flaald the Quite Seneschal, But Not As Seneschal As The Other Flaald)
