Souvenir Hunting II
Thank you to all who came to the first Library Edition on Thursday! We had a special guest appearance from His Serene Highness the King of Lichtenstein; some unforgivable things were said about Belgium; and a valiant audience bore up man-and-womanfully under the longest Since You Ask Me the world has ever seen. I think I may end up having to cut more of it than I leave in...
It went so well, we thought we'd do some more. Tickets are available at these links for the following dates:
Thursday, 17th July
Friday, 1st August
Thursday, 7th August
(Incidentally, I have a mailing list that I occasionally (as in, two or three times a year) use to tell people about stuff like this. If you'd like to be on it, then do, by all means, click here. )
Congratulations! It is good to see that your particular brand of comedy is getting out there in the world. I used to play a version of Since You Ask Me at school in Drama, called Something Suzy Said. I think it might be the Australian version of the game.
ReplyDeletePleaaase don't cut the Since You Ask Me, those are the BEST! It'll make up for the once we didn't get last time. But pleaaase don't cut it.
ReplyDelete(I now imagine you holding up a page with text and a flame under it going; you all better come to these try outs or the Since You Ask Me gets it!!)
Shame, I'm in London until 16th so I'll miss it by a day. But that's alright as I'll see you in Milan later this year?
ReplyDeleteGood luck for the recordings.
Have you any plans to make a Souvenir Programme Director's Cut? Radio 4 may be limited to half hour slots, but speaking for the adoring fans everywhere, I would listen to you ramble on all evening.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Brilliant news!
ReplyDeleteIf it's the same Since You Ask Me you performed at Tall Tales last month, I'd happily listen to a whole half an hour of it. Oh, except that would mean less sketches. Damn. Maybe the BBC could give you a couple of extra episodes? Or a whole spin-off series of Since You Ask Mes?
ReplyDeleteHooray more dates! I think a trip down to London is in order.
ReplyDeleteExtra shows, hallelujah! I snapped up a ticket for the 4th July show but just found out I can't make it that night. Would you happen to know if we can transfer tickets from one show to another?
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteIf you can't transfer the ticket I'd happily use it and buy you one for the date of your choosing in return.
Unless someone's already nabbed it in which case, bums.
I managed to get it transferred after emailing the ticketing people, but thanks for offering and I hope you get a ticket too :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I have a spare ticket for Friday 4th July if anyone needs one, type John Finnemore's Library Edition into Tumblr, you should find my post about it.
