Unless 'Cervix Savvy' is his name. Come to think of it, I think I got some spam from him once...

Don't get me wrong, I'm as feminist as the next man, or woman because it could be either, actually.

Even so, I don't completely understand this advert:

However gender-blind we would like our government-funded organisations to be, can it really be a good use of NHS funds for this man to have a cervical screening? Because even with no medical training, I reckon I can accurately predict the result of that screening. I think it will be negative. On both counts. No cancer, of the no cervix.

Amazing! This has made my day worthwhile. Thanks to you -- and to Mr. Savvy.

Cervix Savvy also has his own website, in which lots more affable men cheerfully offer top tips on cervical screenings. This is the oddest campaign since the unfunny drumming gorilla.

And how many looks did the odd man taking a photo of the back of a bus get?

Oh that is beautiful

If enough men have screenings, eventually one of them would be told he had cervical cancer as false positives are inevitable.

maybe it's that "Come on. One little test? No? Look, we'll force this male Swedish lingerie model to study medicine and do your screens!" type of between-the-lines advertising? ó.ò

I vote for the advert with a sexy woman, a plastic glove and telling you it's just a bend-over and a cough?

*pops onto a years-old blog post to say "There are men who have cervixes, though, and I would know, seeing as I am one" just in case this isn't a thing you've been made aware of since 2008*

anyway, have a nice day
