At first I was mortified that the inexhorable passage of time had robbed me of my ability to count, but then it dawned on me that this newly onset dyscalculia most likely applies uniquely to Otters. If I cannot imagine ten Otters, how could I possibly expect myself to count them?

Seriously, where's the 10th one hiding? It's driving me nuts. I can see 5 in that cluster in the middle, with the 4 obvious outliers? Is there a sixth member of the cluster, or is there an otter camouflaged among the sticks and rocks in the background? I can't believe how deeply I seem to care about this.jezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14865247084509280406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14524408.post-89261495087892860492008-06-25T15:26:00.000+01:002008-06-25T15:26:00.000+01:00Oi, you two ... play nice or there won't be any ca...Oi, you two ... play nice or there won't be any cake after school ...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14524408.post-40504796053383821992008-06-25T11:45:00.000+01:002008-06-25T11:45:00.000+01:00Ed, the rank incompetence at otter-counting you di...Ed, the rank incompetence at otter-counting you display here (There are ten otters. Go back and look again. Carefully, this time.) not only makes you look foolish now, but casts a retrospective doubt on the otters you 'saw' last time. Were there really ten? Or nine? Or six? Quite frankly, Ed, how can we be sure you have ever seen an otter?John Finnemorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09256463878193280694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14524408.post-20023391517750220352008-06-23T18:14:00.000+01:002008-06-23T18:14:00.000+01:00I count nine, there, Finnemore.I STILL WIN.edxI count nine, there, Finnemore.

I STILL WIN.

edxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14524408.post-42065061814663906262008-06-23T09:07:00.000+01:002008-06-23T09:07:00.000+01:00"the number of otters I can possibly imagine... is..."the number of otters I can possibly imagine... is ten"

spot on ... despite your silence, you've been doing good work on the otter-front.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14524408.post-43811119767905054082008-06-23T02:03:00.000+01:002008-06-23T02:03:00.000+01:00Ten!you aced itTen!
you aced itAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
