Well, ok, bad example. But even if it does on occasion, quite by accident, give off an ever so slightly Slytherin-y air, let's be clear that it is in fact a blameless and upstanding academic institution, and it's definitely not plotting anything.
No matter whom it may choose to invite to its alumni meet-ups.

Nope, neither the picture nor the note look sinister. Not at all. And the elderly guy sitting in a large swiveling high-backed armchair wearing a black cape and a mask, petting a white Persian cat is completely harmless, I tell you.

ReplyDeleteOf course nothing is being plotted. Plotting is for those weaklings who come from the pages of perspicacity. Otherwise known as a land Out There, which requires a towel and a ride to reach. Humans seem to prefer the shoot and dive method of rising action.
ReplyDeleteThough, on that notation, that does rather eschew the Master (being an alien) but Professor Moriarty is safe. After all, Earth is an untouchable masterpiece of taxidermied sheep, also know as humans (even if they are diabolical intellectuals).

Haha, I'm envious. If I get the grades, the college I'm going to in September has alumni of Rachel Weisz, Andrew Marr and Stephen Hawking. Not quite as evil as yours!
ReplyDeleteLove it - if you want to see a huge host of honours board villains look at those at Eton around the time Ian Fleming was there - you'll see most of the Bond baddies represented. Henry Blofeld tells us as well that Ernst Stavros Blofeld is named after his elder brother. Scaramanga was in my house, it seems.

I remember the dining hall was kept deliberately dim so we couldn't see how bad the food was. And that the soup came in 3 varieties - grey, brown, brown-with-bits-in.
