All hail the Hypno-ferry

Spent very nice weekend in Dorset, land of my fathers. And of my Granny. Discovered that the chain ferry in Poole is sporting a new banner it never used to have... and which I find a little sinister.

Forthcoming banners in the chain ferry's insidious propaganda campaign:

OBEY CHAIN FERRY WITHOUT QUESTION
CHAIN FERRY CAN SEE INTO YOUR BRAIN
TREMBLE BEFORE MIGHT OF CHAIN FERRY
BRING CHAIN FERRY HUMAN SACRIFICE
IN NAME OF CHAIN FERRY... NUKE BOURNEMOUTH

I liked this post a lot.

Not any more, mind.

Oh... all right. Maybe a little.

I'm still in a Zod kick.

Hi John,
The ferry does seem a bit sinister!
I'm looking for your email address to email you but can't find it! Would like to catch up with you.
Have recently heard from Steph Pickford (via Isobel) that you were living near Angel and doing comedy writing full time. I can see from the CV that you're doing really well! I've nearly finished the first year of the Bournemouth scriptwriting MA and was wondering if you had any advice for an aspiring TV writer.
If you'd like to get in touch you can email me on esajic@tiscali.co.uk
Cheers,
Emma (Sajic)

I loved both the sinister ferry and the sinister tulips. I notcied this sign above the little street stall by Elephant and Castle roundabout this morning as I passed on the bus:

Tobacco Milk

I've heard of tobacco flowers; do you think maybe they lactate? I think we need you to get your glue out again and demonstrate a tobacco plant with teats. Also, what colour would tobacco milk be? I suspect a sort of yellowy-brown...

Thank you, James. I have no idea what Zod is, but I don't doubt the ferry does.

Hi Emma. Sorry- have only just noticed your comment. I'll email you.

And thank you, your ladyship. You're right - there has been something of a theme to posts recently of me thinking inanimate objects are out to get me. I hope this is just a phase I'm going through. 'Tobacco Milk' sounds lovely. Nicotine and Calcium in one convenient hit. Yum.
