Hidden Treasures of London

Now, as everyone knows, London Town is full to the brim of the prettiest little shops, but perhaps the dearest of them all is an enchanting little green millinery tucked away like a jewel on the Gray's Inn road...

That's right. Not just HATS.  HATS slash Plus. Or possibly HATS divided by Plus. Either way, I dread to think exactly what it is the 'Plus' implies you can buy once you've bought your HAT...

Saw this charming boutique in an upscale travel guidebook.

Hint:

It mainly sells three bits of headgear: mitre, zucchetto, and tiara.

The second letter after the virgule is "i," not "l." Named after a famous historical customer.

A bit understated because it's not for official visits. Just for little getaways when the pressure gets too much. Then on to to the boƮte in Stepney.

Reminds me of a trip to Long Island, New York in 2000. Saw this gem:

Whats wrong with Mexican cardboard? Or even French...

More alarming seems to be the apparent remodeling of the shop. For instance, the position of the door.

I'm going to assume (and undoubtedly sleep better tonight by doing so) the cobbled entryway lying at the feet of the display window is just a terrible misunderstanding and was never meant to rest in front of a door. Yes. That's got to be it.

Also, we share a last name.
At least my google search turned up 1 of our blog's.

Sorry to dissapoint but it would seem that HATS / Plus has nothing to do with hats! According to the info on the link below "It is an old shop in Kings Cross that occasionally hosts parties and exhibitions and things with no particular unifying thread."

Sorry to shatter any illusions!

Still if you Google HATS / Plus you get a company of that name in Chicago that do LOTS of hats including one or two Pork Pie ones. That should satisfy the pie lovers of you out there!
