Do you have a copy of he infamous "Caroline strangling a customer" photo from the company brochure? How well could you conceal a travelling lemon on a CD cover? And how many "Brians of Britain" could you fit on the sleeve?
You clearly need a fancy box set collectors edition. It cries out for a sleeve liner notebook with space for us to record our yellow car tallies? (Is that the plural of tally? Or is it talii? What would the collective noun be for tallii/tallies? Sorry I digress.)

Looking forward to buying the CDs! I'd be kind of interested in seeing some of Arthur's recipes (e.g., Surprising Rice) and possibly Douglas' recipe for that carp dish. I'd also be interested in drawings of the characters (including GerTI, if possible). Lastly (for now) - rules for the various games as played on the show (Traveling Lemon, Yellow Car, etc.) - or Carolyn's tips for vacationing on the cheap (aside from "have the pilots pay for themselves").
I wonder if these CDs would be available in the states . . . on that note, I think it would be great to see a pre-trip packing list for Martin in the vein of "Captain dons cap". Perhaps a peak into Douglas' iPod playlist? Or maybe some cartoon photos of Arthur celebrating his favorite holidays with his mum, Douglas, and Martin (Christmas, Easter, his birthday, and Carolyn's birthday)? Carolyn's wall chart would also be lovely.

Since you have three CDS, therefore you'll have three liner notes spaces. So here's three ideas:
1.Facts about bears. No-one can ever have enough facts about bears.
2.A list of potential destinations for series 4...to whet our appetites (none of which MJN Air will actually visit, disappointing all of us who live in places that start with, I don't know, W or Y)
3.A mock-up internet dating page for Martin as made by Douglas.

I love the juxtaposition of those two books (and I'm guessing that store isn't big on themed displays) but I think you might be wrong when it comes to no one reading both. I haven't read those two particular books, but I have read a Jenny Colgan novel, and lots of other chick-lit, and quite a few sci-fi. No Clarke, but definitely some Isaac Asimov and Philip K Dick.
I've found in 12 years working in and owning bookstores that, while the majority of people do stick to the same genre all the time (and don't get me started on gender-specific genres), the true booknerds will try a little of everything. You should see some of the strange pairings on my own shelves!
Damn, now I want to go challenge everyone I know to read something completely different from their genre of choice! Or maybe just myself. I've never read a Western before...

I am so happy. I just pre-ordered all three. I've had trouble ordering certain CDs in the past because they were not allowed to be sold to me because I'm in America. Why it matters that I'm in America when ordering a CD containing Benedict Cumberbatch reading public domain poetry, I don't understand.

Just listening to R4 - I had forgotten Mr C's outrageous Frrrrench accent. Also enjoying the SII repeats on R4Extra... Cabin Pressure is the Fawlty Towers of the wireless when it comes to repeat enjoyment.
I vote for a very expensive glossy booklet for the CD insert, reproducing some of the notes shared with us on here, together with a real lemon, a real otter, and a diamante eggwhisk.

Just realised, the cover is the place for commendations from previous customers, extolling the virtues of MJN Air over other, possibly better known, carriers. Phrases like "An unforgettable trip", "memorable cuisine", "enthusiastic steward", "cheap", and, of course, "BRILLIANT", spring to mind.
CD albums always have bands thanks, so you could have a "thanks" section written by each character :D ....or is that too cheesy?

I think for us humble passengers it could also be useful to know how to read/understand people (that is people like b****y Americans who wouldn't stop smoking). And what steps do I have to take when I have to tell my chief that we are, let's say, hitting a mountain? I wish I had a CD inlay that could help me out here...

Yay!! My kids have been pleading with me to burn my purchased digital copy to CD so they can listen at bedtime - they are HUGE fans of Cabin Pressure, as am I.

So looking forward to hearing Series 3 again, all great, but especially St Petersburg. I found it (exposing my fanheart here) moving. Can't explain it, but when Martin and Douglas dealt with the emergency, the fact that their professionalism really showed and they swept all other considerations away in the moment of need... and you didnt make them comment on it afterwards... Sweet, understated writing of the kind I so admire. Please tell me there is going to be more Cabin Pressure, or do I have to wait for my heavenly goody bag which contains, I hear, series 2-10 of Firefly?

Anyway, fanmail: A friend of mine recently asked me to help him write a radio dramatization of a Philip K. Dick novel (!), so I've been listening to as much radio drama/comedy as I possibly can. And Cabin Pressure is my favourite. I mean, I think I actually like it better than the Hitchhiker's Guide, which I find hard to believe. It amazes me that you manage to make all four characters so compellingly sympathetic in spite of their all being so horridly flawed.
My request: Could you post on your blog a list of your favourite radio dramas/comedies? (Any era.) There are so many to choose from, and most of the ones I've listened to are... pretty awful.
