Thing One
I'm being a programme associate in just under an hour. I've never been that before, and always wondered what one did. Now I know, of course, I'm sworn to secrecy; but I can tell you it involves a computer, and coffee. Anyway, the programme with which I am associating myself with is 10 O'Clock Live, with David Mitchell, Charlie Brooker, Jimmy Carr and Lauren Laverne; and from what I've seen today, I think it's going to be rather good. It's Thursdays on Channel 4 from tonight for 15 weeks (though I'm not doing it every week.) I shall leave what time it's on as an exercise for the class.
Thing Two.
We now know when the third series of Cabin Pressure will be broadcast: Fridays from the 1st July. Still don't know when it will be recorded, I'm afraid, but sources close to, well, me indicate it's unlikely to be before March. (The delay is not my fault, by the way. It's not anyone's fault. But one of the people whose fault it's not is mine.)

I'm so excited about new Cabin Pressure!
I hope I'll get to come to the recording, and perhaps to meet you?
(In a non-creepy way.)
Loving Cabin Pressure, don't suppose there is a chance it will be recorded up in salford quays in the new studios?
Can't wait for the new Cabin Pressure! Really hope I can come to the recording :) R
Maybe I am just in a mood, but your tone in thing two sounds very accusatory. I hope you are not suggesting it in my fault.
that's really good news, looking forward to more Cabin Pressure awesomeness :)
Hooray! I love cabin pressure, I listen to it over and over and it always makes me happy. Like apples - I thought I was a bit mad for trying to juggle apples until I heard that episode...
Anyway, it's great and sorry if I sound like an annoying fan, hope the recording comes together before anybody decides whose fault it isn't.
Hurrah for new Cabin Pressure! (Although knowing my luck I'll be at 35,000 feet myself every Friday...lol)
In a word...brilliant! \o/
That's fantastic news! Still, July feels like a long time from now, but I'll just keep listening to the first two seasons - they never get old!
Good luck with everything!
Yay! Exciting new indeed. ;-)
Just hope that you kept what you did with the computer and the coffee sort of separate . . . Ruined a word processor that way once.
Great news about 'Cabin Pressure' - I'm joining the list of people hoping to get to a recording. Love the show but have also been a big fan of Roger Allam for fifteen years and would listen to him reading the phone book!!!
BTW the following comment from my friend in Australia might interest you, John:
I listened to 'Cabin Pressure' last night and laughed myself silly. Those shows are some of the shortest half-hours I've ever spent! Arthur's Christmas carol was... well, how can I describe it? I loved the mulled wine too... and how he keeps track of time-zones is beyond me. I mean it's confusing enough when you're actually doing the flights... but maybe that's what he did, and charged them to the BBC.
Chance'd be a fine thing, eh?

I just saw this, whilst browsing the internet. Thought you might find it amusing, if you haven't already seen it!
GERTI exists!
Hooray! Cabin Pressure is so wonderful. I wish I could go to the recordings too, but as it happens I live in America. All my pilot friends love it as well. I guess we'll have to be patient until July.
In a word.
The 'Thing One' sounds interesting. I'd love to listen to it online, since I am fighting how to listen any radio programme while having only Linux installed and not being an IT specialist myself... I fail for the most of time, but I'll try ;)
So glad to know, when Cabin Pressure will be. I've recently listened to both seasons (thanks to some of my british friends) and I fell in love with the show. I could just tell you - thank you. It's... brilliant! ;)
Greetings from Gdańsk, where I live and lead Anglo-Polish Strudel Appreciation Society (in my head only, I'm afraid).
Let me just check my citrus pocket.
I recently discovered Cabin Pressure by way of constant allusions to it by fellow Sherlock fans (particularly those obsessed with Benedict Cumberbatch) and I absolutely love it! Your writing and acting is hilarious! (or should I say, really brilliant? [sorry...]) I've already bought the first series off of audible, and I am looking forward to hearing more! Thank you!
(I suppose this is now fanmail via blog comment. Ah, the wonders of technology!)
